Values in practice.
Our story.
We help leaders get out of their own way, scale businesses, and discover what’s next. Bill discovered his “next” and it’s been his most rewarding accomplishment. For him, it meant aligning business success with something bigger than himself.
After decades of building and selling companies, Bill found his answer in the same place it started- with his father's belief that education was the path forward. Honoring that journey became the foundation for everything that followed: investing in schools, backing local entrepreneurs, and building institutions that reflect the values that shaped his career.
For Bill, "Faith, Family, and Friends" isn't a tagline, it's the framework that has shaped his business decisions and his community involvement for over forty years. Giving back isn't a separate chapter. It's the payoff.
Through The Dallas Foundation, Bill and his wife Bev have supported causes across education, the arts, faith communities, and local development.
A shared vision.
Bev is the driving force behind Dallas Capital's philanthropy efforts. Over the last 30 years, she has been extremely active in the community, partnering with local charities and organizations to reinvest and make an impact. She served as founding president of Angels for the Alliance at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza and coached cheerleading at Oaks Christian School. Notable partnerships include Oaks Christian School, Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza, California Lutheran University, and Itasca County YMCA. To date, Dallas Capital has partnered with over 100 charitable organizations.
“Bill and Bev are always looking for ways to help others. It has been a real pleasure to work with them over the years, helping them pursue their philanthropic goals.”

Success stories.
-
Co-founded and served as board member and Chairman for 25 years. The school grew to become one of the largest private Christian schools in America without a traditional feeder system. This was not charitable giving. It was institution building. Bill and Bev were members of the school's founding body, led fundraising for the Dallas Athletic Center, and stayed involved on the ground: Bill as a football coach, Bev as a cheerleading coach.
-
Co-founded with Scott Hamilton, Olympic gold-medal figure skater and fellow BGSU alum. The Center developed a Minor in Entrepreneurship, created the Sebo Series featuring world-class entrepreneurs, launched BizX to foster entrepreneurial thinking in students, and established the Falcon Hatchery, a business incubator for students with innovative ideas. Another example of institution building, this time in education.

Over the course of his career, Bill has made between 200 and 300 investments in local businesses and individuals. Some have generated returns. Others have not. The purpose has been community development rather than portfolio optimization.
-
Bill is directly involved in renovation and rehabilitation work in his community. Some projects are profitable, others are not. With housing stock averaging 50 years old and an aging population, improving the physical environment where people live is a practical expression of the values that inform all of his work.
